Roof - triangle cut outs?
I'm nearing completion of my first HD design. At some point in the last few steps, the roof is no longer solid when viewed from above in 3D. It appears to be open between the rafters on the overhang (the roof inside the walls is fine). I've rebuilt the roof, checked the wall/room configs, even added a boxed soffit, but nothing has corrected the problem. Any suggestions?

In Home Designer 6 Pro, this issue can occur if your Fascia Width is smaller than your Rafter Depth. Fascia Width is set when the roof planes are created (Build > Roof > Build Roof...) Rafter Depth can be specified in the Build Framing dialog box (Build > Framing > Build Framing... > Roof tab).

After calling tech support, the problem appears to be a combination of needing an updated graphics driver and correctly setting the monitor. After making these adjustments the 3D rendering works perfectly. Thanks for the tip.
