Multiple textures on fireplace
My firebox and outside masonry are red brick, but the firebox surround (floor to ceiling) is done in different stonework. Any thoughts on how to model this? Also, the hearth is a stone slab - how is this detail modeled? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Soffits? As long as everything is rectilinear, soffits can be a pretty good way of modeling just about anything.
