    update 6.04 crashing

On advice from this forum, I downloaded 6.04 update twice and it crashed both times when I ran it. I deleted the first, turned almost everything off (virus scan, yahoo messanger, all the big stuff) and it still crashed almost immediately.

It didn't report an error just a report that there was a problem with the program, asking if I wanted to send a report. I sent one but not the second.

    The error signature reads:

AppName: hd60-604suitehist.exe AppVer: 8.0.0.0 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00300036

and the technical is attached (too long).

I hope this helps. Could you announce or tell me when it is fixed, or if it is an error exclusive to my system or machine?

    Thanks,

Call tech support. I have been running 6.04 for awhile and haven't had any problems like this. It sounds like the update got corrupted somehow. Usually, this kind of problem is from having virus protection software running while doing the install.

I installed and downloaded it with and without the anti-virus program running.

I'll let tech support know. It's pretty frustrating since the raising and lowering of the house within the terrain is a new feature on the update and the one I really want. Ugh.

    Thanks,

Please contact us at support. There are some easy solutions to most install problems. I know of no cases that we could not get the software update to install. There are currently no plans to change the install as we have been very sucessful in using the update.
