Since you have Pro, you could create the roof planes manually, or edit the existing ones to accomplish what you have described.

Are you trying to create something like this? The automatic roof generator can do it too, so you shouldn't need to manually adjust.

I marked all of the Full Gable walls as having hatching in the attachment (except for the one invisible wall out front is also a Full Gable).
