    Question Gable Over Door/WIndow?

In HD Pro 7 help, under the roof tutorial, there is a section titled "Adding Gables over Doors and Windows", and it says: "To create a gable roof over a door or window, Select a door or window, then click the Gable Over Door/Window edit button".

The icon shown looks like a little house with a cross in it. I have searched for it over an hour and was unable to find it.

Would some kind soul please tell me where that icon is skulking and how to get to it?

    Thanks!

    Ken,

You need to select the window or door first. Then you should see a list of toolbar buttons pop-up somewhere on your screen. This is the "Edit Toolbar". The Gable Over Door/Window button should be in this toolbar. It should also show up in the context menu that appears when you right click on an object to select it. If you still can't find it, then I am at a loss to explain why.

    Gene,

I am not postive, but this tool may not be available in all products so you might not see it if you only have the basic version of Home Designer.

The door I was trying to gable over was the front entry door. I have a concrete pad in front of the entry and had made an invisible wall around it already, wanting that entire area to be gabled over.

I did put the exterior door in the wall first by serendipity, but now I know how to do it with purpose from your tip.
