In the door dialog and or Door Defaults you can set the door to "Glass" and on the "Frame and Lights" tab control the number of lites or dividers the door displays and the width of the top, bottom and sides of the frame.

    David,
Thanks, but what I'm looking for is a pair of doors that come together in the middle. Do I have to copy doors and then set the casing to zero?

No, just make them wider in the dialog and at around 4' they automatically turn into a double-door unit.
If you want an Atrium-Style double-door where one is fixed and the other one swings from the center then you must use two doors set side by side and flush.
But simple French-style double doors are just a default door set to the width you want and the frame and lights set as you want.
