Need to paint a SINGLE wall

Please help,

I simply need to paint a single wall a separate color in the same room. I am using Architectural Home designer 8.0 and have tried to find the answer here already. I have a feeling the answer is a simple one and yet nothing has worked so far. So...

Ive tried to break a wall which doesnt work. I even tried to pull the wall apart fromt he rest of the room and it still paints the entire room..When I used wall specifications, the colore shows in the wall surface tab but nothing happens to the actual designed wall please help. I would assume this is one of the simple programming workthroughs of the software so I assume I'm mission something. I have a simple single story design and cant get this simple task to work.


Please when you respond please be specific. ie what tabs in what view etc.
