Wall under stair

I have drawn a stairway that starts in a dining room, goes up and through a partition wall and terminates into the ceiling of the kitchen on its way upstairs. I want to add a wall under the stairs in the dining room but I don't want to have a wall underneath it when its in the kitchen because I want to put a refrigerator or counterspace under it.
Is this possible? Can't figure it out.

Take a look at this Help Database article. You wouldn't need to draw the wall all of the way under the staircase.
