The simpler and cleaner approach, as promised is outlined below. I recommend reading and following the earlier post which will explain some of the references used here in this followup post. Remember when dragging and moving roof plane points to hold down the Alt key. Also, whenever the software pops up a message asking to move the plane, answer "no".

Start with the Auto Rebuild Roof option enabled, and build the outer perimeter of the main building. This time, include the porch. Set the front wall of the porch and the back wall to Full Gable. This should match your second image in the original post.

Next, add the CAD line and the Attic Wall as described in my previous post.

Select the building's front hip roof plane, and use the Break Line tool at the intersections of the edge of that plane and the CAD line. Drag the upper left edge of the hip roof plane so that the edge stops with a corner point on the CAD line. Drag the upper point of the hip roof plane down to the CAD line.

Next, select the building's right gable roof plane and use the Break Line tool where the front edge of it intersects the CAD line. Grab and drag the upper point down to the CAD line. Now grab the straight edge that is at the CAD line down below the CAD line a small distance and set the overhang to the desired amount.

Next, select the building's left gable roof plane and use the Break Line tool where the gable ridge from the porch intersects the CAD line. Grab the point of the porch's gable ridge (just above where you made the break, not the break point itself), and drag it down and to the right to where the porch's right gable roof plane crosses the CAD line. Then grab and drag the point at the building's gable ridge down to the CAD line. You should now have a straight edge on top of the CAD line; grab that edge and drag it down a short distance and then set the overhang to match the building's right gable roof plane.

Next, select the porch's right gable roof plane and use the Break Line tool where the valley between that roof plane and the building's hip roof plane intersect the CAD line. Grab and drag the point at the porch's gable roof ridge down along the ridge to the CAD line.

Take a 3D camera view of the result. It should look something similar to the second image shown below.

    Hope this helps.
