    deck and landscape

Several years ago I purchased Landscaping and Deck Designer 7. Recently I added Architectural Designer version 9 and I created a model of my home to plan renovations. Now I'd like to design a deck and fencing. Landscape Designer seems to have larger libraries for that purpose, no? Do I somehow import my AD9 version into Landscape Designer? If so, how? How do these programs work together? Thanks in avance.

Plans can only go forward, not backward. AHD 9 should be able to read any plans created in L&DD 7 but L&DD 7 won't be able to read any plans created in AHD 9.

AHD 9 should come with all (or at least almost all) of the library content that you had with your old L&DD 7 plus a lot more newer and interior stuff. You might need to use the search tool to find some of the things because they may not be in the same places. There might be some things that you can only get in the bonus libraries. You can take a look here and download any of the extra stuff you might want:

If you do find something that was in your old L&DD 7 that you can't find in your AHD 9 libraries, you can't import it directly but there are still ways to get it into AHD 9. All you need to do is drop the library objects you want into an empty L&DD 7 plan, save the plan, open it in AHD 9, select the objects you want, and use the Add to Library tool.

Also, keep in mind that with AHD 9 you can now import stuff from other sources, such as google warehouse, and use them in your plans. You also have tools to organize the libraries the way you want.
