    HDS v9.0 Extend Roof

Can I extend the roof a few feet over a door, ideally also over some decking, with HDS v9.0? The effect I want is to increase the overhand over a small section of wall.

Use invisible walls where you want the roof to extend and rebuild the roof.

    Extended Soffit Result

I tried that, but I can't get it lower the height of the invisible wall so that the roof is a smooth extension. HDS9 raises the roof line of that section of the house. Please see attached.

Dont change the wall ht. Change the ceiling ht. of the room they form. Needs to be 96 1/8" Make the short wall a high shed wall like in my picture.

    Extended Soffit Solved

Got it! To get the overhang to the edge of the house like I want, I had to zoom in and fiddle with the placement of the long wall and the room height (88 1/8). Thanks.

    Glad you got it.

Good work on adjusting the the ceiling ht. to 88 1/8 to get the roof even.
