    Cabinet Placement

I have a problem placing two cabinets next to each other:

    1) Cabinet #1 is 36" high and the countertop overhangs 1 inch each side.

    2) Cabinet #2 is 31" high with two characteristics
a.) the countertop does not have a backsplash
b.) the countertop is flush on both sides (no overhang)

    3) When I try to butt Cabinet #2's left side against Cabinet #1's right side a problem takes place. Cabinet #1's countertop 1 inch overhang prevents me from butting the two cabinet sides up against one another. Thus the sides of the two cabinets are 1 inch away from each other.

Is there a solution for this issue?

You should be able to bump the cabinets up against each other without any problems. Are you sure they are not bumped together and you are not just seeing the overhang from the higher cabinet? Is there something else that is preventing the cabinets from being against each other? You might want to post a picture of what you are seeing.

    Solved

Thanks to all for your help. I figured it out. I had to uncheck Bumping/Pushing. Then I press the 'Ctrl' key while moving the mouse to get slower mouse movement for more accurate placement.
