Exterior Siding wall converts to brick veneer once they touch

I just upgraded to Home Designer Pro 9 from Architectural Home Desinger 9 hoping to get more features to help me remodel my home. I have trouble connecting two different types of exterior walls (brick veneer next to siding). Creating the exterior walls of my house, I have siding walls at the entrance door then attach to the brick veneer exterior walls of the rest of the house. When I try to create the siding from the end of the brick veneer exterior wall, the entire distance of the wall changes to siding and I am unable to duplicate my house design on screen. Does anyone have any ideas how to overcome this? Can't find answers with the Q&A.

If you have the two different wall types defined already, draw the entire wall with one or the other, and then use the Break Wall tool where you want to make the wall change. Open the Wall Specification dialog for the wall segment that you want to change, and then under the Wall Types tab select the desired wall type in the drop down box.
