Different Pitched roofs over decks

I have landscaping and Deck Designer 9. I have tried creating roofs of different pitches but it ends up changing all the roofs on the template to the new pitch.

Whaat am I missing?

One possibility:

When changing the pitch in the wall or railing dialog, make sure you
remove the (D) or your change won't take effect.

(D) stands for default...
