Windows 7 Ultimate
Quad Q-8300 Intel
HD 4650 Ati (1.7 gb)
4 Gb Kingston Ram

Suite 8.0 is not supported on Windows 7, so that is probably the problem and you need to upgrade to version 9.
In the meantime, you could also try updating your video card driver.
