Attached is the image. The left image is of the building wihout the roof. When I generate a roof, what happens is sown on teh right image.

Alternatively, I can create a porch. I would prefer a porch without railing. Do you know of a simpler way to do this on Home Designer 2012 Suite? I have gone through the forums and the directions have not helped me resolve this issue. Many are based on older versions of the software so the options they are asking are not available in 2012 making it impossible to follow the directions. Question is, in home designer 2012, how do I create a porch with pillar columns only (no rails) and a roof over it.
