    diagonal roof ridge line

My request to the forum is guidance as to which level Home Designer software will allow me to design a roof similar to the Truro house:

    link attached http://www.zeroenergy.com/p_truro.html

I am an intermediate level user of the older version HOME DESIGNER SUITE 6.0 software and believe this version is incapable of accomplishing the particular roof I require.

As you review the above link, you will see two main modules, each with a roof ridge line running diagonally across the modules and not parallel to a side as usual; also, each ridge line is pitched with the high ends on the ocean ends. Secondly, the ocean end roof edges of the two main modules are also pitched accommodating the pitched ridge line which add further complexity to the roof.

I have been unable to produce a similar construct with my present software and am unsure which version I need. Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

You can do this in Architectural but I recommend you get Home Designer Pro as it is as more able as it is more expensive to buy (more to learn but also more you can do once you have learned its tools).

David, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The older software I use is fine for most designs; though, it is time to move into software with more capabilities.
