    "Shingle Style" house

Is there any way to tweak the elevation that is generated? I'm working on a "Shingle Style" house. Architects often use horizontal banding or shingle "flares" to break up the massing. I thought I could do this by using the pony wall feature, but the banding that I wanted coincided with the floor platform and didn't work. Can you directly edit the elevation in Home Designer Pro 2012? Thanks!

Banding can be done with re-shaped soffits or custom slabs and also using the "Wall Covering Tab" (found in the wall dialog box of each exterior wall) though I prefer in most cases to use a custom slab or soffit.

You can add 2D CAD lines and fill box overlays to elevations before sending to layout to detail or embellish your elevations but such are just 2D. The only way to "directly" edit the elevation is to edit the model in plan view first.
