    Roof Top Deck

i am trying to design an one story addition with a roof top deck...i layed out the deck on the second floor and a error popped up and said "Deck is over a non deck room, framing may be incorrect."

    how do i fix this?

Change the Room Type from "Deck" to something else, like "Balcony."

I had the same problem and changed it to Balcony, but, now there is a gap between my balcony and the floor below. Why dont the exterior walls come up and meet the floor of the outside deck/balcony?

I disagree with David, in this case, it looks like you used Deck Railings. Delete them and use normal Railings instead.
