Terrain line resolution

Hello,
I have a very flat lot with a little over a foot of elevation change.
How do I get the terrain contour lines to be less that 12" apart?

I don't have any of the 2012 version titles, and I'm not sure which Home Designer software title that you have ...

How do I get the terrain contour lines to be less that 12" apart?

In HDPro version 10, you would select the terrain, open the Terrain Specification dialog, and on the Contours tab, set the Frequency Interval in the appropriate input box. If your software title has this capability, I would assume this setting is in the same or similar location.
