Can no longer select individual rooms

Whenever I try to select a room on 1st floor the entire house selects, and I cannot open individual room. Doesn't happen on the 2nd floor, and yesterday didn't happen on the 1st. Yes, all rooms are enclosed by walls on all sides. I can select individual objects (walls, furniture, fixtures, etc.), but not the rooms. Help!

Thanks jc, that indeed found the problem -- at a joint between straight and angled exterior walls.
