Reference floor display doesn't honor color setting?

I've started using Home Designer Professional 2014 recently and when I press F9 to turn on the reference floor display the reference floor is always displayed in black regardless of the color settings I have for it in the reference floor display options. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong and/or not understanding what the color setting in the reference floor display options does?

    Thanks!

It is odd. The reference display is red by default. If you look in the reference layer display options and modify the colors and click OK and you don’t see a change in the reference floor color I’d call tech support and see if there is something going on. I haven’t heard of this being a problem.

There must be a "lost in translation" effect going on: I opened my copy of Pro 2014, and checked the line color of the Reference Display set and it showed "Red", I then went to "Tools - Reference Floors - Reference Display Options" and changed all the colors from the default "red" to "Purple" and then checked the "Reference Display" and then all Reference display lines then showed "Purple".

Therefore you are not doing what you say or think you are doing/saying because I cannot duplicate your results. What are you actually doing and what do you actually mean please?

Well I finally figured it out. F9 is the shortcut for turning the reference display on/off. I was looking through the menus and just happened to notice that there's an option for turning colors off, which has a shortcut of F8. That was it! I didn't even know that option existed (still fairly new to the program) and what must have happened is that I accidentally hit F8 instead of F9 one time when I was togging the reference display off and on.

This should probably be a help database article. I'm sure that I'm not the first and won't be the last person to be caught by this and not be able to figure out what happened.
