Equivalent to AutoCAD viewport?
I'm designing a set of additions to a house. I've modeled the existing house, mainly so that I can show the addition attachment points, usage of existing openings and in order to draw the existing roof properly. I do not want to send the whole drawing to a layout (with the exception of some exterior elevations). I want to show only the additions and those parts of the existing structure that are relevant.
With AutoCAD, I could construct a single model and create viewports that are sent to the layout. How (or can) I do the same thing with CA PRO 2014?

Some or all of these video tutorials ( http://www.youtube.com/user/c16467/videos?query=layout )will help you. In Chief Architect/Home Designer the "view ports" are there but are programmed differently when sending views to the layout (the .plan file is like "model space" and the .layout file is for "paper space" in terms of similarity of function, just different programming solutions and nomenclature).
This Home Designer video introduces the basics of layout: http://video.homedesigner.chiefarchi...?search=layout
