    Question Stairway Visibility

I have drawn set of stairs from the first floor down to the basement. I made the stairwell "Open Below". When I engage floor cameras I cannot see down into the basement, nor up from the basement to the first floor.

Nor can the stairs, period, be seen from the first floor looking down. There is only a white space visible. The stairs can be seen using a floor cabinet in the basement.

Also, When I manually change the number of treads from 11 to 12 (in the Staircase Specifications dialog box) the 'length' of the stairs will not stay at 111-3/4". The length changes to 122-1/4".

There are 13 risers and the top step (13th tread) is actually the first floor.

I can see the stairs (in the Open Below room) while viewing the first floor plan.

At this point in time there are only 'Open Below' walls and a stairwell doorway on the first floor. The basement right now does NOT have ANY interior 2 x 4 walls. The only item present in the basement is the stairs.

The height from the basement floor to the first floor - all inclusive - is showing as 102-3/8" in the Room Specification dialog box for the basement.

The Tread Width box is greyed out and stays steady at 10-3/16". I cannot change that or the riser heights.

I cannot seem to figure out what is going on.

Can someone help me with what's going on here?

    Thanks,
    Dekade

The "Floor Camera" by default shows ONLY the objects on the "floor"on which the camera view is created, so by default it will exclude anything above or below the floor on which the camera view is created, that is how it is designed to work.

If you want to see the entire model always use the "Full Camera" tool/
