Two roof pitches on same wall on 1 1/2 story house

The large end of this house has 42" inner walls with the outer walls one and half foot to the outside (which lines up with the first floor) The smaller end of the 2 story has a normal size walls, however I can not get the ridge to line up like it should to the larger end of the 2nd story. The larger end has a 8' ceiling where it comes to the top, and as this plan shows it is about 12'. I can change the walls down lower to get the right ceiling distance but then the walls are too short. I have read lots of posts and all the videos but I am at a road block. Thanks for any help you can give. I tried to upload my plan but it says it is more than 100 kb. that doesn't seem like very big file.
