Importing and working with interior photos
Hi all. I'm new to the site. I'm thinking of using Homedesigner Interiors to help choose the appropriate color flooring and furniture for the various rooms. Can I import photos of empty rooms and make changes to them using this software to see how it would look? How well does this feature work?

Not exactly, Chief Architect Premier and Home Designer software are 3D modeling applications where you use its tools to construct virtual 3D models of spaces which you can then customize and edit, Photos are mainly used as backdrops for such models.
Chief Architect Inc used to make an application called "Picture Painter" that is used to alter photos using material libraries that could be used to paint differing materials and colors on existing 2D surfaces of a photo, I honestly do not know if they still make and offer for sale that application (I checked the Home Designer Website and could not find any reference to it today). You can find out for sure by calling Chief Architect Inc Sales, M-F during their Pacific Time office hours.
