(Help) Covered Wrap around porch

Hello,
I have Suite 2014, trying to create a covered wrap around porch that spans three corners of my house plan. House will be three stories.

I am a beginner user still figuring it out.

Dollhouse view is attached file, object is porch with rail.

Also plan on adding covered porches for remaining two stories. Do I need to select object as balcony vice porch?
