Corner kitchen counter issue

I am trying to place a kitchen counter and overhead cabinet in an angled corner of the kitchen. There doesn't seem to be a proper way to do this, so I resorted to soffits. This does the job in 3D view, but it looks terrible in the floor plan. I tried forcing a square counter into the wall, but it shows through the other side. Is there a proper way to do this?
