    Curtis, any "Material" is based upon a "texture" (bit map image file) and a "pattern" file (textures are visible in "Standard" camera views and "Pattern" files (lines and colors) show in "Vector Camera" views). Default materials in the Library Browser are made this way, so custom materials (the ones you make from scratch) must also be so programmed (pattern file + texture file).

    Materials can then be applied to "objects" or "Symbols". You do not need professional help, it is just part of your learning curve in virtual, 3D modeling jargon and nomenclature. We all have to walk it if you intend to get anything worthwhile done.
