    Deck siding... is it possible?

I have Home Designer Suite 2014. Is it possible to have deck siding such as lattice?

Import one or both of these custom textures (see Reference Manual for exact instructions for custom materials) and then enjoy

How do I apply a texture to the side of a deck, thus covering the bottom and hiding the pilings?

You might already have lattice in your library. Suite 7 had it, and so does Architectural 10. In HDA it is located under exteriors/landscape/lattice. Start looking!

Sorry for confusion. I knew I had lattice already, I just do not know how to apply it to the under side of the deck, or if it is even possible.

Just select it from the library, and apply it on your 2D floor plan.

Wow... Im was thinking it was a material, not an object. I need professional help.

    Thanks

Curtis, any "Material" is based upon a "texture" (bit map image file) and a "pattern" file (textures are visible in "Standard" camera views and "Pattern" files (lines and colors) show in "Vector Camera" views). Default materials in the Library Browser are made this way, so custom materials (the ones you make from scratch) must also be so programmed (pattern file + texture file).

Materials can then be applied to "objects" or "Symbols". You do not need professional help, it is just part of your learning curve in virtual, 3D modeling jargon and nomenclature. We all have to walk it if you intend to get anything worthwhile done.
