mystery wall break
I have drawn a plan that had a garage door in it deleted the wall to redraw as pony wall and now where the door goes the room is split by a mysterious 4 1/2 inch gap
does not show in the 3d mode but no matter how I try to create one long wall on the back side it continues to break it into 2 segments
which does not allow me to place a door where I need it
I have deleted it many times ,redrew the wall new end to end, even copy and pasted another full wall to the area it still cuts it
Any suggestions
thanks LyleLast edited by Lyle Popson; 01-28-2014 at 02:04 PM.

I cannot tell what you did based upon the image you posted, I cannot see what you are speaking of. I get that you have an unwanted situation, I just do not understand where it is or why it is based on the image you posted or what you said, sorry.

yes the highlighted areas did not come across .
, in the large room by the stairs you will notice the storage room is divided into two separate areas by some mystery wall that shows up when I click on the floor or wall
I cannot select it to delete it
I have redrawn that area several times and it just keeps coming back
I high lited the invisible walls again and got rid of the interior problem bot there is still one on the porch I can not get rid of

It is the way this software is programmed to work (why this is is a question best asked of the persons who write this software). In order to draw a "room" within a "Room" there MUST be a connecting wall, either visible or invisible connecting the inner room with the outer room. The software is programmed to automatically place an invisible wall for this purpose whenever the end-users forgets to do so or does not know to do this (thus it is automatic and IS necessary).
As I said, I do not know why this is required, I merely know that it is required for the software to properly function.

As David said...that invisible wall is necessary. But if it is blocking a door placement, just relocate the wall!

You can, at any time un-check (turn off) any layer in Display Options if you do not want to see or print invisible walls but it is there because it must be there for proper functioning of the software.
