Question Gap between 2nd floor balcony and room below

    Hi,

I'm new to HD and have this problem when I try to create a balcony on the 2nd floor. Going through the forum I managed to solve most of them, but one remains. There is a gap between my balcony and the room below. See attached pictures.
I have used normal railing instead of deck railing and named the balcony "balcony" I've tried to manipulate the floor and ceiling heights of the room below and the balcony, but the "floor Structure" remains set at 318mm whatever I do. And the gap remains. How to solve this?

With Home Designer Suite, Essentials, Architectural, Interiors and Deck and Lawn Designer the structural floor thickness is preset and cannot be changed, the only way you can vary that thickness is by making the "Floor Surface" thicker.

Home Designer Pro and Chief Architect Premier offers the ability to properly layer floor and framing thickness and material settings for true 3D relationally correct modeling.

Also, you can create the missing rim band by designating the room as "deck". Or, you could call it a court or porch and get a concrete rim and floor surface (for a wood floor increase the 'floor finish (K)' thickness).
