Thumbs up Front Porch "portico" on a full 2-story

Hi, trying to build a front "portico" on a 2 story design (gable roof, with columns). I'm new to the product but working my way through, any help would be greatly appreciated

You can outline the "portico" with walls (Invisible or railing walls depending upon the final look you want) and then auto build roofs or use the walls as location points for the portico roof planes. Whether you auto build or manually build the roofs, set the ceiling height of the portico and the roof planes will then come in at that plate height that you set in the room dialog for that space.
