    Change Wall Height

I am using Home Designer Pro 2012.

Currently doing the "before" drawings for a renovation project.

Attached is a picture of the actual structure, and a cross section of the same area. How do I reduce the height of the left and right exterior walls, so that the height of the roof overhang is reduced?

I'm sure there is a simple command, but after spending much time playing with the roof and wall dialogs I can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance.Click image for larger version.

What a matta for u? Why would you think you can change the wall or roof height
in the corresponding Dialog boxes? This just might be my all time peeve about the
software. You can change the wall height in the "Room Specification" dbx. Here's
how I would go about it. First delete your existing roof planes. Then while in plan
view click inside the walls to select the room and hit Ctrl+E to open the Room
Specification dbx. Here you can change the wall heights to whatever you need.
When your walls are set then rebuild the roof planes and you should have it.

Thanks! Also figured out that if you go into the roof dialog box, hit the radio button for "pitch", it allows you to then change the "baseline" measurement above...same result.

Altogether very squidgy ways to alter some measurements that are pretty basic...are the programmers listening?

Jeffery, the "Baseline" value that is stated in Roof Dialog Boxes is not the same thing as "Plate Height" as one might think. the baseline height is a point directly on the surface of the roof plane object along a line that is co-linear with the outer edge of the framing or structural layer of the wall over which the roof plane builds, in other words, a particular point in space.

Funny thing is that I almost never use the "Baseline" height. I'm usually
interested in the "Fascia Top" height to line up eaves and gutters, and the
"Ridge/Top" height to line up roof planes.
