Changes made in orthographic view did not transfer to final design and perspective

I'm trying to add design to doors and door frames. I was able to get the effect I wanted while working in the orthographic view, using CAD lines/polylines; however, these changes do not transfer to the final design nor the perspective view. I've attached the orthographic view with the design on the frame and around the door knobs.
Anybody knows how to add patters/designs to doors and door frames?

CAD lines are JUST that. Lines. Unless you can convert them to poly line solids (don't know what software you have......YOU didn't post that info), which I don't think is available in any of the HD software. Probably have to upgrade to Chief. I stand to BE CORRECTED.

I'm working on the Home Designer Pro 10.
I did convert it to a poly line.

Any tips on how to add designs to doors in the HD Pro 10 will be appreciated.
