    Dutch or setback gable

I would like to set a gable one foot back on the garage wall and put a dutch or hip roof in front of it. I can do a full return but the program won't let me set the gable back.
    Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure that only Home Designer Pro is capable of creating a dutch hip/gable roof style. It involves editing roof planes manually. see this artice for more information:

Howdy. New to Chief Architect. Designed our current house in 3d Home Architect 3.0 about 18 years ago. I recently purchased Home Designer Suite 2014 and would really like to model our Dutch/Texas Hip roof. I can do it in PRO (I installed the trial version of this before purchasing Suite), but it sure seems like PRO and higher is the only way to do this type of roof. I am not able to put out $500 for the software so I am not going to be a PRO user. Does anyone have any tricks they might know of to do this in either Suite or Architectural versions of Home Designer? I would consider upgrading to Architectural if that would help.
