Changing direction of stairs with a landing
I have the HD Suite 2014 and want to design a stairway that goes 1/2 way down to a landing and then changes direction (180 degrees) and then continues to the basement. Possibly putting some winders on the landing.
Thanks,
Ross

Yes, I've viewed the stair video 4 or 5 times and when constructing the the 2 section it only gives me 1 riser for 11". I'm thinking that default for the basement walls is less than the 9' that I want/need.

The second section is the landing in a stair like that and is essentially a FLOOR rather than a staircase which is why it is 11" deep, the stairs will / should still give you a riser height of 7" +/- depending on design. you need to build the stairs UP from the basement ,so they will connect properly ....... use a split view with a 3d camera and you can watch what is happening as you do stuff/make changes......
Not sure what you mean about the basement walls and them being 9' ? stairwell is 9'x9' ?
this is a 8'6" staircase ,from a question last month I did .....might help ?

Later last night I found my problem, the height of my basement walls was ~48". I looked "floors", basement, and then found that walls were not correct so I changed it to 108" and now it works out.
