All of a sudden my Rich Text will not let me print higher than the default 6", for example I type in 8" and the second I push ok it switches right back to 6"

With Rich Text, the text in the Text Specification Dialog MUST be selected for any change to occur. If you do not have your intended text selected and change the size value, it will revert to the original size.

Select the intended text in the dialog, then change the size value, then click OK and your change will then stick as you intend.
