Transfer HD Pro file to CA 10.0 - Is it possible?

I am trying to export my Home Designer Pro 2014 plan to someone using Chief Architect 10. Is there a way to do it through .dxf or .dwg? What compatibility setting do I need to use? Thanks for your help.

they would need X5 to use your .plan file ( older cant open newer I think) but DXF>All Floors might work , not sure what other options Pro 2014 has for exporting files...

I can export in a number of AutoCAD compatible formats. Since CA10 came out in 2005 I'm trying the line that offers 2004/2005/2006. I wonder how much information get lost in translation.

Home Designer Pro 2014 .plan files can directly be opened and edited in Chief Architect X5 and X6 only (if opened and saved in X6 they thereafter cannot be opened in X5 or HD Pro 2014), sorry. Older versions of Chief Architect Premier cannot do so, this is not merely my opinion but a fact ( I own and use Versions of Chief Premier back to Version 7 and Home Designer titles back to Version 7, I am certain).

Seems that saving the file compatible with AutoCAD 2005 worked and the file imported into CA10.

    Cheers
