So I've jsut recently gotten home designer suite as a gift, and find myself more frustrated than excited. Im having problems creating my entry way. When you first walk in, you are standing on a landing which give you the option to go upstairs to floor 2 or downstairs to floor one. How do i make this happen?

Look at sample plan 1203. This should give you the basic idea.

I would think you would create a room. You need either invisible walls or a wall with a railing. Set the floor height to where you want it.

You may also be able to do the landing with the stairs options by joining two pieces of stairs. There is an option (somewhere) to make this happen with the stairs options. I think the door should connect at the appropriate level then.

Hang in there. It is a tough learning curve. Much help here from some.
