Selecting layered objects in plan view
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had a tip on how to select specific objects in plan view when they are layered on top of eack other. For instance, say I have a recessed light in a soffit that I want to click on to copy or move. I find that I am unable to select just the light because when I try to click on it I can only select the soffit. Is there a way to "send to the back" certain objects? (The soffit in this instance.)
What I wind up doing is selecting the soffit, moving it out of the way to get to the light, make my adjustments, then move the soffit back in place. Is there an easier way?
Thanks!
Bryan

Hi Bryan
Yes there is a much easier way..
First one is select the tool of the thing you want to select..=cabinet tool to select cabinets, wall=walls.
Second thing is "select next"hit the tab key will highlight the next item..Allen Colburn Jr.
