Separate garage at lower elevation

I am using Home Designer Deluxe (7.08) and am including terrain plus a separate garage building that sits at a lower elevation. The house is two story; for some unexpected reason the elevation of my yard has now raised up to the 2nd story of the house. This problem only came up after adding a lot more terrain detail.

I have set the 1st floor of the house to an elevation of “0”; the garage floor is -80 inches -- again it is a separate building not attached to the house.

I also find it’s pretty hard to do landscape steps; would this be easier in Pro 7?

I'm not sure if this is your issue, but check out Help Database Article Number 322: Help! My building is sinking into my terrain, or it is floating above my terrain!

That did the trick, the Pro version helped aslo -thx
