Reseting Defaults

Hi, Im new to the thread.
Just wondering if any of you guys know how to rest defaults so that interior colors and items etc, will go to defaults. At the moment I can only change each one indiviually, and it takes way to long if your trying to pick out colors !!

You have to open the dialog of the object you want to change, go to the material tab, and then select the material called "Use Default". Wouldn't it be nice if there was some way to reset everything back to "use default"?
