ceiling beams on a vaulted ceiling in ID 7.08?

I have a living room with a vaulted ceiling that has ceiling beams (see attached real-life photo). Is there any way to add these with Interior Designer 7.08? I've searched the forum and articles and can't find anything posted about this. I read the article about ceiling beams, but it seems like using soffits only works for horizontal beams.

To answer the original question, I believe that you are correct, soffits only work for horizontal beams. I do not know of a way to create the diagonal ones shown in your picture with Deluxe.

Thanks for your helpful hints, but I'm pretty sure Interior Designer 7.08 doesn't have any of these tools.

I guess I'll put some soffits on the top section of the ceiling and just use my imagination for the ascending beams.

Or I guess I could try creating a series of tiny beam-wide invisible rooms, and set the ceiling color inside them to brown. I think that would at least give me brown stripes on the ceiling?

I'll post an image if that works out.
