Home Designer Deluxe - Interested in upgrading from Suite 6

I have Home Designer Suite 6.0. I will upgrade to Deluxe if someone can tell me the difference. Also, do we get a discount for upgrading?

Thanks, but the rebate posted doesn't apply and the comparsion chart doesn't really tell you what you would want to know to upgrade. It would have to be someone who already has the new product.

Since the release of the new Landscaping and Deck Designer product this spring, Deluxe received all of those new features. In addition we added new automated building tools like Auto Dormer, add items into the Library, included new design tools like Color Chooser, and an Inspiration Gallery – which is a collection of photos by room type.

Currently there is not rebate offer from Suite to Deluxe.

Thank you, that does helpl. If what I am understanding is correct, I will be upgrading! Am I understanding correctly that I can add items to my library? There are items out there for importing (for a price) and I would like to be able to add what I want (basically pretty furniture - in particular a leather sectional like the one I have).

With Home Designer Deluxe, you will have the ability to to import BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF, and PCX files. Unfortunately, you will not be able to import furniture and fixtures, but you will have the ability to import materials and textures into your library. This means, you can take a design you like, import it, and apply it to a selected image from the library.
