Fun With Roofs
This is a plan I've been working on, lately. Until recently the auto-generate roof has been behaving, and working as intended--more or less.
This is definitely less.
I particularly like the "wing" effect. Enjoy.

I had the same bizarre wing effect when I added a large dormer to my troublesome-roof house- except the wing was floating in space! It disappeared when I deleted the dormer. Weird!

Wow, that is a really funky and interesting roof. I'll bet you couldn't model something like that on purpose even if you wanted to!! (but why would you want to?)

That's pretty funky too, Dude! Was that on purpose? Reminds me of the Sydney Opera House -- or some very modern churches I've seen.
