    Grab the library browser by the double-line area of the title bar, below the little "x".

    Drag hard, down and away, and you should be able to move it off.

    Drop it on the right hand side of your screen and it should "dock" there.

    thank you to both of you, but no....I don't have that....it must be a "newer" feature....very needed in my case. I think I will just have to reinstall the program. thanks for the help. moira
