3d view: basement/foundation
Home Designer Pro 7.0: I have inserted a foundation below the 1st floor and called for 8 foot ceilings to create a basement. I have added some walls to create some rooms. But when I try to look at this floor using any 3d tool, the 1st floor appears. What am I missing?
Thanks!

Post a picture of what you are seeing.
My only guess is that you are using the dollhouse view instead of a full camera view. In a dollhouse view, you will only see the current floor and not the others.

If the height of your camera is higher then the basement ceiling, you will see the first floor instead. Check that your basement room really has a ceiling height of 8' and that your camera height is not too high. You can change the camera height in the cameara dialog and mess it up if you changed your defaults.

I haven't figured out how to make my ceiling
work out correctly in the basement. I am confused by the term definitions in the foundation dialog to get the basement ceiling correct.
That could definitely be the reason for the view not working.

What term definitions are confusing you?
