Cool Gable Roof over door + window

Using HD Pro 7.0, I have an exterior door located about 16" away from a triple window unit. I can select for a gable roof to be added over each individually, but when I try to have a single gable cover both (using auto-build roof) I don't get a gable over the door. Other than having to master building roofs manually, how can I get a single gable over both?
    Thanks.

When you select gable roof you must have selected a piece of wall to accomplish this. Make the piece of wall larger by using the wall break tool or temporarily pulling the inside wall back that defines the room and placing another one temporarily. When done replace the wall connection and never rebuild your roof again.

Either use the gable line tool,or put breaks in that wall were you want the gable to start and check full gable .

Thank you guys. It is surprising (and discouraging, as it probably is a sign of age) how a person can "forget" what they used to know. I used to do gable roofs by putting in wall breaks and setting the wall section to Full Gable wall. Then I discovered that every exterior door or window had an option (bottom left of your screen when it is selected) to put a small gable over it. Trying to do a door next to a window wasn't working. Thanks for reminding me of how I used to do it. Mission Accomplished!
