Gable with different Siding

I have a 2 story house that has siding-6 on it but I need to have stone installed into just the gable on the front. I can't figure how to do it. I have tried to break line but it just divides the wall in half and not divide the wall from the gable. Any help would be appreciated.

You might try going up to the 3rd story. In my version this shows the attic walls...then you can click on the gable wall and change the material in the dialog box.
